Namun, rilis terbaru yang dikeluarkan oleh SocialStatistics dan FindPeopleOnPlus justru menyebutkan sebaliknya. Kedua pencatat data statistik di internet ini mengatakan situs jejaring sosial yang baru keluar, Google+ lebih banyak diakses oleh pria daripada wanita.

Hasil perhitungan menunjukan nyaris tiga per empat atau sekitar 74 persen pengguna Google+ adalah pria. "Ketidakseimbangan ini bisa menjadi masalah buat Google+ yang ingin menaklukan Facebook," kata CEO Mashable, Pete Cashmore, seperti dikutip dari Daily Mail, 17 Juli 2011.
